Transparent plastic light covers come in all shapes and sizes. And you may be able to find what you need at your local hardware store. But will they have enough? Will they fit your light fixtures that nobody makes anymore? It may be easy to get a bulb or fluorescent light replaced. It’s also easy to get a ballast replaced when needed. But, over time, the covers also take some wear and tear. Not only will they start to yellow and look dingy but, sometimes they will crack and break. What you need are lighting covers that fit your fixtures and will last. Even if you want something custom that nobody makes, we can make it for you.
We have been making translucent lighting covers of all shapes, sizes for 30 years. We can duplicate just about any provided sample or from your specifications. With our abilities to thermal form and CNC cut, we can make any lighting cover you could imagine. In our inventory is a wide range of light diffusing plastics that work for most lighting needs. To clean acrylic, PETG or polycarbonate use a mild dish soap and water solution. Wipe with a soft cloth. DO NOT use paper towels, dry cloth or other abrasive material. This may scratch the surface. It could also set up a static charge causing dust to stick to the surface again. Other products such as Novus #1 Antistatic (buy on Amazon), Brillianize (buy on Amazon), Methyl Hydrate or Isopropyl Alcohol can be used. But you must avoid areas with bends or polished areas, as this can cause crazing or cracks in the material. Do not use cleaners that have Ammonia. Cleaning in a dishwasher is also not recommended.
