After the front door, the first thing customers see when entering your business is the counter or front desk. Custom counter fronts let your customers know you think about quality and customer care. Above we used acrylic with grass reeds embedded right in the acrylic to show off the design of the reception desk. Below, left is an illuminated acrylic shroud on a maître d’ stand. To clean acrylic, PETG or polycarbonate use a mild dish soap and water solution. Wipe with a soft cloth. DO NOT use paper towels, dry cloth or other abrasive material. This may scratch the surface. It could also set up a static charge causing dust to stick to the surface again. Other products such as Novus #1 Antistatic (buy on Amazon), Brillianize (buy on Amazon), Methyl Hydrate or Isopropyl Alcohol can be used. But you must avoid areas with bends or polished areas, as this can cause crazing or cracks in the material. Do not use cleaners that have Ammonia. Cleaning in a dishwasher is also not recommended.
